go beyond traditional talk therapy.
Faith-based therapy in Mesa, Arizona.
You’ve been fighting this battle alone, relying on willpower and prayer, and you're running on empty.
Maybe you’ve worried you would feel misunderstood or pressured by a therapist due to your faith. Maybe you feel guilty that you have tried to give your struggle to God but it isn’t going away. Your beliefs are firm and your emotions don’t match.
But you’re still feeling…
Discouraged that your faith hasn’t “fixed” your struggle
Disconnected from other Christians
Frustrated that your feelings haven’t “caught up” to your beliefs

Faith-based counseling is professional, high-quality therapy that honors your Christian identity, values, and worldview. We move beyond simply acknowledging your beliefs to intentionally weaving them into the solution.
Faith-based sessions can provide:
A Lens That Honors Your Life: We work together to explore your struggles and goals through a faith-based perspective, ensuring your therapeutic journey aligns with your core Christian identity and values.
Practical Spiritual Support: You gain the opportunity to use your faith as support in your treatment, drawing on tools like prayer and scripture for comfort, resilience, and guidance whenever you need them.
Therapy Within Your Beliefs: We establish a safe boundary for your beliefs and practices, guaranteeing a judgment-free space where your Christian ethics and worldview are respected and never challenged.
Complete Restoration: We offer holistic, whole-person healing, treating not just your symptoms but addressing your mind, soul, and spirit for transformation that lasts.

It is crucial to know that seeking faith-based counseling does not mean you are receiving a lesser form of care. I am trained as a professional first and foremost.
It is NOT Pastoral Counseling. While we will partner with spiritual principles, this is licensed, clinical therapy. I provide psychological diagnosis, professional techniques, and confidentiality.
It is NOT Just “Praying Problems Away:” It is not helpful to dismiss your pain and to "just pray harder" or "read more scripture." Mental health challenges often have complex biological, emotional, and environmental roots that require more understanding and support to heal.
It is NOT Judgment or Shame: This is a no-judgment zone. You will not be shamed for your doubts, your struggles, or your past choices. We approach every challenge with the grace and unconditional love reflected in the gospel.
It is NOT Required to Discuss Faith: While I welcome faith integration, you lead the discussion. If you prefer to focus solely on clinical techniques, that boundary is respected. Your pace and comfort level always come first.

The simple answer is no.
My role is to empower you, not to tell you what to do.
While we work together to help you explore choices through the lens of your values, you remain in control of your life and your decisions. We focus on helping you gain clarity, heal emotional barriers, and align your choices with your God-given purpose, rather than giving you easy answers.
I am a therapist, not spiritual director.
Healing mind, soul and spirit.
Christian faith-based counseling treats the whole person and your faith is welcomed in as a powerful part of your healing.
At the end of the day, I want you to know:
You don't have to choose between your mental health and your faith; in fact, healing one strengthens the other. Your struggles don't make you a failure; they make you human.
Is Christian Faith-based therapy right for you?
Faith-based therapy is a good fit for you if…
You know what the Bible says about you, but actually feel shame, guilt, and anxiety.
You have given to God your struggles countless times, but you just can’t seem to "let go.”
You notice patterns in your relationships —leaving you feeling isolated, angry, or exhausted—and you don't know how to break the cycle.
You feel stuck, even though you have prayed, read self-help books, and leaned on your faith.
What we’ll work on
With Faith-based therapy, you can…
Bridge the gap between the truths you know in your head and the peace you feel in your heart
Heal the emotional wounds and trauma that willpower alone hasn’t been able to touch
Transform relationship patterns by learning to communicate with grace, set healthy boundaries, and practice true forgiveness
Move from simply surviving to truly thriving, experiencing the flourishing life that God created us for
Healing is possible.
Healing is possible.

It’s a painful paradox: the place you went for sanctuary became a source of significant pain. If you’ve experienced church hurt, spiritual abuse, or religious trauma, the idea of talking to a faith-based counselor can feel terrifying.
I recognize that abuse, judgment, manipulation, or rigid theology enacted by spiritual leaders or communities can cause deep, complex emotional wounds.
My role is to help you process that pain without dismissing its validity.

I work with Christians across the entire spectrum of faith, from those deeply rooted in formal denominations to those exploring their spirituality for the first time.
I primary focus on the core Christian tenets that unite us all:
The Gospel message of grace and redemption.
The Bible as a source of truth and guidance.
Your personal relationship with God as the ultimate source of healing.
I understand that every tradition has unique approaches to faith. I always take our lead from your experience and comfort level:
No Judgment: You will not be judged for your denomination, your level of church attendance, or your past experiences in any specific church setting.
Your Boundaries are Key: I respect the specific values and practices of your tradition, ensuring that the clinical work we do together aligns with your personal conscience and beliefs.
Our goal is simply to use your faith—however you practice it—as a powerful, integrated resource for your mental and emotional well-being.

I welcome individuals from all backgrounds—other faiths, spiritual paths, or no faith at all. While I operate from a Christian worldview and draw on principles of grace, hope, and wholeness, I am a licensed clinician equipped to help all individuals.
Here is how our practice ensures you receive the best care, regardless of your beliefs:
Clinical Focus First: I use evidence-based psychological methods (like CBT or trauma-focused modalities) that are effective for everyone.
You Lead the Session: I will never impose my beliefs on you, attempt conversion, or use religious language without your explicit consent. Your comfort and your personal goals lead the session.
Respect for Your Path: If you identify with another faith or spiritual path, we will honor your core values and traditions, exploring how your spirituality or ethics can serve as a powerful resource in your healing process.
My goal is simply to help you achieve mental clarity and emotional peace in a safe, non-judgmental space that respects who you are.
