Move past your past.
Trauma therapy in Mesa, Arizona
Are you feeling stuck in survival mode and overwhelmed by life?
It’s like you are constantly on emotional overload.
It is possible you are dealing with the effects of trauma.
Trauma is an emotional or physical wound left behind by an event (or lack of event) that was too overwhelming to process at the time. It leaves you feeling stuck, anxious, and unable to connect with others.
Trauma creates a profound impact on our daily life. It shatters our sense of safety and alters how our brain perceives threats, emotions, and relationships. Trauma isn't just a psychological injury—it is a physiological change. Your body can become easily tense, stressed, and overwhelmed by the demands of daily stressors.
Ultimately, the impact of trauma doesn’t stay within the limits of your own mind and body. It affects how you show up in your relationships, homes, and careers. In our work together, we address the root cause of these shifts to help you reclaim your sense of safety and peace.

That's okay. You absolutely do not need to identify as a trauma survivor to benefit from our work.
While I specialize in treating trauma, the core of my practice is helping you with the very real challenges of anxiety, chronic stress, difficult transitions, and relationships—issues that touch nearly everyone's life.
In our work together, we focus on identifying the patterns and past experiences that are currently keeping you stuck. Whether that feeling comes from a specific traumatic event or simply the cumulative stress of daily life, the tools you build will help you feel more grounded, confident, and peaceful.
If you are feeling overwhelmed, anxious, or disconnected, this is the right place to start.

This is a very common and valid fear. I understand that bringing up difficult memories can feel scary and overwhelming. In our work, we never jump into the deepest waters immediately.
Our first priority is building safety and coping skills. We start by learning how to soothe your nervous system and manage intense emotions. You are always in control of what we discuss and when. We approach your past gently and collaboratively, ensuring you have the tools to handle the memories without being re-traumatized. The goal is to process the past safely so it loses its power over your present.

Trauma keeps your brain and body "stuck" in a threat-response mode. Therapy works by helping your nervous system understand that the danger is over.
We use specific, evidence-based techniques (which we will talk about in detail) to help your brain re-process the memory. This allows the memory to move from the emotional, "stuck" part of your brain to the logical part. This means the memory will still be a part of your history, but it won't constantly trigger the intense fear and physical reactions you feel today. It helps your body and mind shift from surviving to thriving.
